Please remember to increases the number of files in your CONFIG.SYS to 20.
The statement "FILES=20" or greater should be added to your CONFIG.SYS file.
See your dos manual for more information regarding your CONFIG.SYS file.

Mouse Users: All items enclosed with a yellow [ ] are active with the left
button. Use the right button to go back one step.
To start Clients & Contacts from the DOS prompt type PRO3.

Items From Main Menu: (Opening Screen)
Client Records:
Selecting this item will display a View Table listing all your Clients first
by Company Name, second by Last Name in a scroll fashion.
The Company name will be sorted in alphabetical order.
If a same company name appears more than once a second sort is performed on
the last name of your contact.
If no records have been entered the first page of a three page data entry form
will be displayed.
After Records Have Been Added:
After at least one record has been added the following functions are available.
[INSERT].. Add Records one by one returning to the view table after each is
saved.
[GRAY+] .. Add Records in Batch Mode. Returning to the view table only after
[ESC] is pressed on a blank form.
[ENTER] .. Edit or View the highlighted record.
[DELETE] .. Delete the highlighted record.
[ALT+C] ... Copy the highlighted record to a new form.
[F8] ..... Search Notes for a word or phrase
[F3] ..... View Table Filter.
Allows you to filter and sort your records by Company Name or Last Name.
Find Company: This is a hot field that starts searching for the Company name
as soon as you start typing.

Date of Contact:
This View Table will list your Clients by the contact date you set in data
entry form #3.
All the same functions are available here as are mentioned in Company Name.
Time To Call On:
This View Table acts as a Tickler in that it lists all your Clients you have
not been in contact with in the prescribed number of days you entered on data
entry form #3.

Print Menu:
Selecting anyone of the Reports or Mailing Labels from the menu will offer the
following options.
Print to file: You report or label will be sent to a dos text file. Simply
enter a name for the file and press [ENTER] You may include a path also.
Print to screen: Your report or label will be displayed on your computer monitor.
Use the arrow keys to move around inside report.
Print to printer: Your report will be sent to your printer.
You may print as many copies as you like by typing the number in the copies
field. You may also direct your output to any LPT or Com port.

Print Menu Selections:
Mailing Labels:
Prints one up. Records can be filtered to print just one label or a group of
labels or all labels.
Print Call On Report:
Prints out a list with detail of all Clients you need to contact at this time
as described by the date and number of days entered on form #3.
Print Client Reports:
Lets you print out one, a group our all Client records in report format.
Print Client Addresses - Report Style:
Lets you print out one, a group or all client records - just addresses in a
report style format.
Print Client Addresses - Rolodex Style:
Lets you print out one, a group or all client records in a large card rolodex
style. If you set your printer for compressed print this will print small
cards.

Options Menu:
The Options Menu display your system information and performs the following
functions.
Optimize Database: This one switch, reindexes, packs and reclaims unused space
keeping your data files lean and fast.
Change Default Name: This is your personal information used in program headers,
reports, form letters and memos.
You also set you Word Processor start up command from here.
Items 1, 2, 3 are export options that convert your data files for use in other
programs.
System Information Displayed:
Your Name & Company Name.
Name of Word Processor connected.
System Time.
System Date.
System Memory.
Number of Client Records.
Path where Clients & Contacts files are located.

Notes & Letters.
This function will allow you to send out a quick memo or short letter to one
client, a group of clients or all your clients.
Press [INSERT] for a blank page.
Type a note/letter tile in the first entry field. Example Memo #1.
This title will be displayed in the selection window.
Start typing your note/letter on the second line of the page.
Do Not include "Dear" but do include your closing, Sincerely or Best Wishes
and your name.
[Control+Enter] to save.
After you create your note/letter it will be displayed in a scroll fashion.
Highlight the letter or memo to send and press [F3].
First you will have the option of selecting who to send it to. Then you will
have the option of output.
ie: Text File, Computer Screen, or Printer.
When the note/letter is printed:
Your name and address will be printed first.
Followed by today's date.
Clients name and address
Followed by Dear First Name.
Then your note/letter.

Word Processor:
This option loads the Word Processor you connected to Clients & Contacts.
If you didn't do this when C&C first loaded, you can do it at anytime by
selecting Change Default Name from the Options Menu.
Set System Date:
This function will change or set the computers date.

Data Entry:
Clients and Contacts has 3 data entry forms.
By pressing [INS] or [GRAY+] from any View Table data form #1 will be displayed.
Page Up and Down to quickly move from one form to the next.
Note Press [ALT+M] from any Data Form will display the Data Form Menu.
[Control+Enter] on any field to save record.
[Control+Esc] on any field to quit - no save.
Data Form #1:
This form is for all Client information.
After a record has been completed last contact and date will be displayed at
the top of this form. The fields are self explanatory.
Both Company Name and Last Name should be complete to maintain proper order in
view table listings.
Note: Press [F3] from the Zip Code field will tap into the Zip Code database
for fast look ups. After finding the correct zip code press enter and the zip
code will be written into the zip code field. Press [Enter] on the city and
state and the correct names will be written in also.
Data Form #2:
This is your notes page.
Used to store additional information or telephone conversations.
The header of this form will display the Clients name, title, company,
telephone numbers, last date contacted and number of days sense last contact.
Data Form #3:
This is where you set the contact date and the number of days you would like
to be reminded to call back. This information will be displayed on Data
Entry Form #2. It is also used to produce the Call Back Reports. And as the
Tickler setting on the Time To Call On table.
